Recycling

One of the issues that our maintenance crew has to deal with is non-recycleable items in the recycle bins. The things that cause the most problems are:

  • plastic bags
  • styrofoam

These items have to be removed from the bins or the county may refuse to pick them up. It consumes a lot of the cleaning crews time. Owners end up paying for the time spent because either in less cleaning done in more visible areas or with a more expensive contract that includes the extra time spent.

Also any other item that is too small or can cause a tangle will create issues with the equipment that the county uses to process the material.

SOLID WASTE SCHEDULE

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday Must be outside by 7:00 a.m.

RECYLING SCHEDULE

  • Monday ONLY CARDBOARD-Must be outside by 7:00 a.m.
  • Friday ALL RECYCLING INCLUDING CARDBOARD Must be outside by 7:00 a.m.
